Easy Taxi, the world’s most popular taxi hailing application has recently entered 2 new marketing partnerships. Besides Smart Mobile and Draft Gastro pub, to name just a few, the company will now partner with ZAP app and Four Eyes eyewear. The new deals have a different objective than the other two, targeting user loyalty and Customer Relationship Management in its efforts to maximize the recurrence of the passengers.
The co-branded campaigns are primarily distributed through email broadcasts and social media channels and aim to remind the passengers about the rewards that await those users who not only downloaded an app, but also regularly take a ride with Easy Taxi. Each week, the company will draw two winners of the Four Eyes eyewear, at the same time uploading 20 ZAP points to the account of all customers.
As a part of the deal, the representatives of Four Eyes (de facto, Asia’s first online optical store), decided to offer discounted prescription lenses to the program winners. For Four Eyes, such campaign is an integral part of company’s mission of improving the life of those with impaired sight.
ZAP, in turn, the first company in the Philippines’ to offer a tag-based instant reward system, is looking for expanded presence in Metro Manila. The deal with Easy Taxi will help ZAP increase its database, at the same time further enlarging its already substantial network of partners.
The campaign will also compliment existing incentive program of Easy Taxi, which involves giving special prizes to the users with the highest number of completed rides.
A few words about the Easy Taxi app itself:
The app can be downloaded for free on iOS, Android, and Blackberry 10 devices. The taxi network is available in 17 countries with more than 50’000 partner drivers. When it comes to the value proposition – it’s very straight-forward: upon the confirmation of the pickup point and other details (tip, destination), the user can order a taxi with the press of a button. The scanner will start searching for the nearest driver who is willing to accept the ride.
Once the ride got accepted, the passenger receives the information about the driver’s name, car model/plate, his location, as well as the photo. The app then allows the user to track the driver in real-time using GPS technology. The user can also save their favorite addresses and check ride history. Depending on the market, there are also country-specific features, such as airport taxi or additional luggage.
Easy Taxi is frequently engaging in corporate social responsibility programs – a feature rather unique to tech startups. In the Philippines it set its mission to the following:
To make taxi transportation in Manila easier, safer, and more efficient by providing local passengers with top-notch booking service and helping taxi communities advance! Our advocacy is to change the image of the Philippines' transportation industry both within the Philippines and abroad and portray it as safe, modern and efficient.
