Blogger's Round Table With UN: Resolving The Issue Of The Philippines

Last October 2, 2013 (Wednesday), Blogger's Round Table was created by the UNDP to be able to explain the top issues that our country is facing today. Three of these issues are Climate Change, Food and Security and  the UN Food Programme for the Filipinos.

Selected bloggers from top organizations gathered to witness the unveiling of the latest programs that the United Nations has to offer to the Philippines. We are very proud to say, that we are included in the round table to which we are able to see and hear the advocacy of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the proposed solution that they have in the incoming future to prevent flood and food shortage specially in the provinces and rural areas, where food is greatly needed by our brown brothers that has been devastated by war, typhoon and flood. The meeting started at 10:30 in the morning where a lot of the UN representatives are there and  gave us the issue in which the Philippines as a whole is encountering today. A lot of sudden changes has been happening in the weather recently, and that is the reason why UN is doing an awareness campaign, to awaken the Filipinos knowledge in helping each other reducing the effect of flood through the use of modern technologies and applying it as a device that can detect and prevent floods in the future.

Food Awareness And Security
Also, they have discussed the importance of rice as our number one basic necessity when it comes to our meal as Filipinos, they want to emphasized how many grams of rice is being wasted everyday and how can we prevent this in the future to help decrease the prices of our local rice market.Able to do so, can assure us of a better food stock and livelihood for the poor specially the farmers who wanted to gain more on their hard work.
Climate Change

At the end of the day, we have concluded that awareness on these topics can create and make the Philippines a better place to dwell and live in,making Filipinos ready in the future specially those living in the flood prone areas of the country.

Each of us need to make a share in our world even in a small way, and this is the right time to do it.
