Google pushed an update to Gmail for Android which brought several
welcome new features to the table. They include vacation auto
responders, enhanced attachment functionality, as well as the ability to
print straight from your device’s email client.
The vacation auto responder in Gmail for Android works just as expected. It allows users to do set their auto responses without the need to go to the web version of Gmail.
Support for attachments has been expanded a great deal. Gmail for
Android now handles all file types – a significant improvement over the
previous version which could only manage photos and videos.
Printing emails straight from the app is now possible via a dedicated
menu button. The function is currently available only on Android 4.4
KitKat devices.
Gmail for Android’s latest update also includes enhanced performance in devices with low memory thanks to Project Svelte.
