Zooming Into Stories: Vivo X300 Series Launch Photo Contest Celebrates Creativity and New Perspectives

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Vivo Philippines placed the art of zoom photography front and center at the Vivo X300 Series Launch Photo Contest, a live competition that invited guests to craft compelling visual stories using the flagship’s powerful 200MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera. Participants were challenged to move beyond traditional mobile photography and experiment with distance, detail, and emotion—showing that a faraway subject can become an unforgettable narrative.

Among the many creative entries, multimedia producer Bryan Aliwalas emerged as the grand winner. His striking photo, built on intention, contrast, and emotional depth, demonstrated how distance can transform into a bold artistic perspective. His image proved that with the right eye—and the right device—telephoto shots can reveal stories often overlooked.

The contest began live on November 26 during the Vivo X300 Series Launch event. Photography Masterclass speaker and judge Jan Mayo personally reviewed the entries, selecting the Top 3 finalists based on their creativity, storytelling strength, and telephoto execution. The finalists then entered a three-day public voting period on Vivo’s official Facebook page, where reach and engagement determined the final ranking.

It was during this online voting stage that Bryan’s 15x zoom photo of a spotlight-lit wall artwork captivated viewers. The dramatic lighting and tight composition propelled his entry to the top spot. Judge Jan Mayo praised the image, highlighting how the dark negative space powerfully emphasized the illuminated subject and elevated the photo’s vibrance and contrast.

Reflecting on his win, Bryan shared how he challenged both himself and the device: “I noticed an artwork on the wall illuminated by the event lights. I zoomed in to around 15x, found the right angle, and took the shot. The Vivo X300 handled it perfectly and delivered a clear, detailed photo.” Inspired by Jan Mayo’s masterclass and sample images, Bryan knew the moment he spotted the artwork that it was the perfect scene to capture.

As a reward for his creative excellence, Bryan will take home the flagship Vivo X300. He learned about his victory while on a drive to Tagaytay City, making the moment even more memorable.

Engagement was also celebrated, with second-place winner Euden Valdez, a branded content editor, earning a Vivo V60 for her beautifully framed shot captured through a glass. Her unique perspective resonated strongly with online audiences.

With the Vivo X300 Series now open for preorder until December 5, 2025, the launch highlighted how advanced telephoto lenses bring distant stories closer—and how every zoom has the power to reveal something extraordinary.
