Sibalom, Antique taps PLDT Enterprise for digital transformation

The municipality of Sibalom, Antique, in partnership with PLDT Enterprise, has moved to boost its technological capabilities to improve the delivery of its public services and likewise help bridge the digital divide among its constituents.

Sibalom Mayor Gian Carlo F. Occeña said that as the municipality met various difficulties over the past years, digital transformation is needed to respond to emerging challenges effectively.

“As we face uncertainties over the past few years, we realized that we must adapt and equip ourselves with technology so that our municipality won’t be left behind. Technology is a significant aspect to propel growth, which is why we are doing our utmost to leverage on innovation with the help of PLDT Enterprise,” said Occeña.

PLDT Enterprise, the B2B arm of the country’s largest fully integrated telecommunications provider PLDT, provided connectivity and network infrastructure solutions to the municipality, including a robust and high-speed internet with security firewall, PABX as an effective communication tool, and productivity tools through Microsoft 365.

Likewise, the group also provided the structured cabling with a door thermal access system to the Sibalom municipal hall.

PLDT Enterprise Vice President for Small and MicroBiz Chito Franco shared that the group supports the digital transformation initiatives of municipalities, including Sibalom, Antique, to strengthen their e-governance and attain economic growth.
