The municipality of Sibalom, Antique, in partnership with PLDT Enterprise, has moved to boost its technological capabilities to improve the delivery of its public services and likewise help bridge the digital divide among its constituents.
Sibalom Mayor Gian
Carlo F. Occeña said that as the municipality met various difficulties over the
past years, digital transformation is needed to respond to emerging challenges
effectively.
PLDT Enterprise,
the B2B arm of the country’s largest fully integrated telecommunications
provider PLDT, provided connectivity and network infrastructure solutions to
the municipality, including a robust and high-speed internet with security
firewall, PABX as an effective communication tool, and productivity tools
through Microsoft 365.
Likewise, the group
also provided the structured cabling with a door thermal access system to the
Sibalom municipal hall.
“PLDT Enterprise is
our trusted and reliable partner for technologies that enable us to stay
productive and resilient amid the pandemic. We are grateful for their assistance
in providing tools suited to our needs,” the municipal mayor added.
The said initiative
will amplify the technological literacy in Sibalom by providing access to
digital solutions, allowing employees, students, and businesses to create
opportunities.
PLDT
