Crypto Lover? Do Not Use RCBC for Your Cryptocurrency Transactions

If you're a fan on an investor of cryptocurrency, we suggest that you do not use or open an account with RCBC (Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation). Do you want to know why? Here is an experience you might want to have a look at. As a crypto enthusiast and a gadget lover, we at Tekkie Pinas decided to open our account at RCBC back in 2020.

Everything was well and good, considering that this bank is getting into the virtual banking scene, and into electronic currency back in 2018. We are using it for cryptocurrency and P2P transactions on Binance and Trading on Coins.ph without any trouble at all for the past 2 years.

But after two years, their representative is already calling us almost every week just to clarify things about our transactions that are going thru our bank account, as they are seeing money coming from Coins.ph or Binance. They are suspecting us to be money launderers in short, and told us that cryptocurrency is not being recognized by their so-called "Digital Bank."

So to make the long story short, we went to the bank and closed our account, to make sure that we will not be dealing with those phone calls ever again, and not to transact with a bank that is still in the OLD STYLE of operations.

To sum it up, if you are a lover of blockchain technology or an investor in cryptocurrency, we suggest opening an account with GCash, Maya, Unionbank, or BPI -- as these payment channels are open to fintech and are recognizing digital transformation.

As for RCBC, I think they are happy with their old ways of serving old customers and old people. Good luck to you!

Remember: "If you can't cope with change and technology, you will be left behind." Cryptocurrency is the future, and everyone should embrace it.
