BlockShoals Technologies, Inc. Joins FinTech Alliance PH, Reinforcing Its Compliance-First Commitment to the Philippine Digital Asset Ecosystem

MANILA, Philippines — BlockShoals Technologies, Inc. (BlockShoals), the Philippine-incorporated fintech company approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to operate as a Crypto Asset Intermediary (CAI) under the SEC's Strategic Sandbox (StratBox) framework, today announced its membership in the FinTech Alliance PH, the country's premier and largest digital industry association.

The membership aligns BlockShoals with an organization that comprises over 100 corporate members collectively accounting for more than 95% of the country's digital retail financial transaction volume. As the first organization of its kind in Asia, the FinTech Alliance PH pioneered the establishment of an industry-led Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics and continues to serve as a vital resource for regulators, policymakers, and legislators in advancing inclusive digital finance.

For BlockShoals, joining the Alliance advances its vision to be the most trusted and reliable Crypto Asset Intermediary in the Philippines and the region, setting the benchmark for regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and operational excellence in the digital asset industry. BlockShoals is the locally registered and regulated entity through which Binance products and services are made available to users in the Philippines, operating under the direct supervision of the SEC within the StratBox framework. In that structure, BlockShoals holds local regulatory responsibility, user-facing operations, and compliance obligations, while Binance provides technology infrastructure and operational support as the global partner.

Institutionalized under SEC Memorandum Circular No. 9, Series of 2024 and administered through the SEC's PhiliFintech Innovation Office (PhiliFINNO), the StratBox is a regulatory tool that allows participants to test an innovative product, service, or business model in a live and controlled environment under the supervision and guidance of the Commission. The framework is designed to advance responsible innovation while strengthening consumer protection.

"We are honored to join the FinTech Alliance PH, an organization whose credibility and standards mirror the principles on which BlockShoals was built," said Alfredo "Al" Panlilio, Chairman of BlockShoals Technologies, Inc. "Our vision is to be the most trusted and reliable Crypto Asset Intermediary in the Philippines and the region, setting the benchmark for regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and operational excellence. We pursue that vision by promoting compliance as the foundation of responsible digital asset services, advancing financial education and inclusion, upholding the highest standards of integrity and operational reliability, and partnering with global industry leaders to deliver world-class infrastructure within a fully compliant Philippine framework. Success is not measured by market share alone, but by the trust we earn from regulators, customers, partners, and the communities we serve."

Through its membership, BlockShoals looks forward to contributing to the Alliance's work on digital payments, financial education, consumer protection, and the broader agenda of inclusive digital finance in the Philippines.

Future of Trust Forum Highlights Growing Government Support for Trusted Digital Innovation

Building trust in the digital age requires more than adopting new technologies. It requires collaboration among government, industry, and policymakers to ensure innovation is supported by strong governance and public confidence.

This was the central message at Future of Trust: A Leaders Forum on Technology and Governance, the opening event of Philippine Blockchain Week 2026, where government leaders, legislators, regulators, and private sector executives explored how blockchain, artificial intelligence, and digital governance can shape the country's digital future.

Among the strongest signals of support came from Senator Bam Aquino, who reaffirmed the importance of enabling legislation that allows emerging technologies to flourish responsibly.

“When we leverage technologies like blockchain and AI, we have a rare opportunity to leapfrog our nation's progress and development," Senator Aquino said.

He also thanked the Blockchain Council of the Philippines for its support of the proposed Citizen Access and Disclosure of Expenditures for National Accountability (CADENA) Act, which seeks to institutionalize blockchain-based budget transparency, expressing hope that government and industry can continue working together to advance the measure.

Panel discussions also demonstrated how government agencies were beginning to explore practical applications of emerging technologies.

For Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Nicolas Torre, technology adoption must ultimately serve the public. “We're studying whether blockchain has applications within MMDA's operations," he said.

While noting that the agency already relies heavily on artificial intelligence to improve traffic monitoring and frontline services, Torre said emerging technologies continue to be evaluated based on how they can strengthen operational efficiency while protecting data privacy.

The forum gathered leaders from the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Budget and Management, MMDA, and major private sector organizations to discuss the future of digital identity, AI governance, blockchain infrastructure, cybersecurity, and trusted digital services.

Offering a global perspective, Dr. Kamal Anand, Founder and CEO of Bigod Group, said: “The Philippines is far ahead on the blockchain adoption curve.”

“We work with many countries around the world, and I believe the level of adoption here is remarkable, especially in Southeast Asia,” he said. “The key now is trust. When trust is supported by clear regulations and strong collaboration between government and industry, innovation can move forward much faster. The market is already growing, blockchain adoption is booming, and I believe the Philippines is well positioned to lead in this space."

Discussions on trust also extended into traditional industries where blockchain and AI are beginning to unlock new opportunities. During a panel on the future of real estate, valuation, and emerging technologies, Josemari Cuervo, President & Managing Director of Cuervo Appraisers, highlighted the potential of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization to broaden access to investment opportunities while underscoring the importance of trusted information as the foundation of any digital asset ecosystem.

"Tokenization could open real estate investment to more Filipinos across different income levels. But before we can unlock that opportunity, we need trusted data and trusted valuations. That's the foundation that allows investors to participate with confidence," he said.

The discussion reflected a recurring theme throughout the forum: whether in government services, financial systems, artificial intelligence, or real estate markets, technology can only scale when trust exists in the data, institutions, and frameworks that support it.

As the opening event of Philippine Blockchain Week 2026, Future of Trust underscored a common realization among both public and private sector leaders: the next phase of digital transformation will not be defined by technology alone, but by the ability to build trusted systems that are transparent, secure, and accountable—laying the foundation for sustainable innovation and economic growth.

Binance and BlockShoals Announce Partnership Under the Philippines SEC StratBox Framework

Binance and BlockShoals Technologies Inc. (“BlockShoals”) today announced a partnership in connection with the Strategic Sandbox (StratBox) framework of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the Philippines.

Binance and BlockShoals appreciate the Philippine SEC’s leadership in establishing the StratBox framework, which provides a controlled and supervised environment for responsible innovation in financial products, services, and technologies.

Following the SEC’s approval of BlockShoals’ StratBox application, BlockShoals, as the StratBox participant, will commence testing activities under the framework, while Binance, as the global exchange partner, will provide the support through its technology infrastructure, product suite, user process, infrastructure-grade security, and user privacy infrastructure, operational expertise, and compliance tools developed across multiple regulated markets globally.

Through the partnership, Binance and BlockShoals will work together to test a tailored Binance platform experience for users in the Philippines within the SEC’s regulatory sandbox.

BlockShoals is moving forward with its approved StratBox testing plan, integrating with a partner virtual asset service provider (VASP) during the initial testing period. With safeguards in place, the company will then launch its full operational rollout — onboarding users and deploying product configurations tailored for the Philippines.

The Philippines continues to emerge as one of Southeast Asia’s most digitally engaged markets, with increasing interest in digital finance, blockchain technology, and digital assets. The country has also consistently ranked among the leading global markets in Chainalysis’ Global Crypto Adoption Index, reflecting growing public engagement with digital asset technologies and services.

The initiative is intended to support responsible innovation in the Philippines by helping build a more secure, locally relevant, and regulated digital asset environment for users. It also reflects a broader commitment to investor protection, market integrity, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations within a controlled testing environment.

The partnership combines BlockShoals’ local market participation and regulatory engagement capabilities with Binance’s global infrastructure and operational experience across international markets.

Seker, Head of APAC at Binance, said, “The Philippines is one of the most dynamic digital economies in Southeast Asia, with a highly engaged and digitally native population that continues to drive adoption of emerging financial technologies. We believe frameworks like StratBox represent an important step in enabling responsible innovation by creating pathways for industry participants and regulators to work together constructively.”

“This partnership is an opportunity to demonstrate that global digital asset platforms and local regulatory frameworks can work together constructively,” said a representative of BlockShoals. “As a Philippine-incorporated company operating under the direct supervision of the SEC, we are focused on building a secure and locally accountable platform for Filipino users. We thank the Commission for the opportunity to participate in the StratBox and are committed to earning continued confidence through our performance.”

From June 19 to 21 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, PBW 2026 returns with the theme “Decoded: Deployed.” This year’s event moves beyond theory to showcase how blockchain is already being used to power real systems—from finance and gaming to public infrastructure and digital identity.

If you have ever used a digital wallet, played an online game to earn, or questioned how public funds are tracked, you are already part of this shift. PBW 2026 is where you see where it goes next—and who is building it.

From “Decoded” to “Deployed”

PBW 2026 reflects the country’s transition from understanding blockchain to actively implementing it. What was once experimental is now being deployed—with growing relevance in transparency, accountability, and economic participation.

The event is expected to draw over 15,000 attendees, surpassing last year’s 11,000 participants and marking its largest gathering since its launch in 2022.

“PBW 2026 brings together the energy of a festival with the depth of a world-class conference. We're creating a full-spectrum experience, where business, culture, and community come together in one space,” said PBW President and Co-Founder Janelle Barretto.

Designed to be the most expansive PBW yet, the event brings together decision-makers, builders, creators, and communities across multiple touchpoints:

Here’s what to expect at PBW 2026:

Philippine Blockchain Leadership Forum
An invitation-only summit co-presented by the Blockchain Council of the Philippines (BCP), aligning leaders from government, finance, and global industry to shape policy, accelerate collaboration, and define blockchain’s role alongside AI and cybersecurity.

The Philippines’ young, mobile-first population and deeply embedded gaming culture continue to position it as a key Web3 market. From play-to-earn ecosystems to digital asset platforms and emerging fintech solutions, blockchain is no longer niche—it is becoming part of everyday life.

Blockchain: A New Era of Digital Trust

As the Philippine digital economy accelerates, blockchain is moving from exploration to execution.

From transparency initiatives to policy proposals like the Citizen Access and Disclosure of Expenditures for National Accountability (CADENA) Act, both industry and government are beginning to operationalize the technology. Programs such as the BCP’s Integrity Chain further reflect this shift—exploring how blockchain can strengthen accountability in real-world settings.

At PBW 2026, this momentum converges—bringing together the people, platforms, and policies shaping what comes next.

“Blockchain is no longer just about potential—it’s about execution,”
said BCP Chairman and Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) President, Donald Lim. “What matters now is how we align efforts across industry and government to turn early use cases into systems that deliver real, lasting impact.”

This is not just another industry event—it is where the next wave of partnerships, products, and policies begins. If you are serious about being part of the digital economy, this is where you need to be—not after, but while it is happening.

Since its inception, PBW has evolved into a platform where ideas turn into action. For tickets and more information, visit https://pbw.ph/ or email info@pbw.ph

Bitget’s New Book “Code Like a Cook” Uses Kitchen Analogies to Simplify WEB3 for Young Learners

Manila, Philippines Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has launched “Programming4Youth: Code Like a Cook,” a beginner-friendly educational book designed to introduce young learners to blockchain development and decentralized applications through simple, everyday analogies.

The initiative was developed under Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth and Blockchain4Her programs, in collaboration with GANAP with Eli, as part of the broader effort to address the growing need for accessible learning resources amid rising global interest in blockchain technology.

Rather than relying solely on technical instruction, Code Like a Cook reframes core programming concepts through the familiar process of cooking to make them easier to understand for first-time learners. In the book, ingredients represent small pieces of code, recipes illustrate algorithms and logic, tools refer to development platforms such as Remix and MetaMask, cooking symbolizes running code, and plating reflects deploying and sharing the finished application with others. This approach breaks complex ideas into visual, intuitive steps, making blockchain development more approachable for beginners with no prior coding experience.

“Learning to build should not feel inaccessible from the start,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget. “The goal is to make the first step easier to take. When concepts are explained in a way that feels familiar, more people are willing to try, and that’s the aim with Code Like a Cook. We want to help beginners move from learning to creating.”

The book guides readers through a structured learning journey, beginning with fundamental concepts such as Web3 and programming languages, before progressing to practical experimentation. Chapters cover topics such as what Web3 is, what programming languages are used, how Solidity works, and how to use essential Web3 tools. For example, a core hands-on component of the guide introduces learners to building a simple Tip Jar decentralized application, allowing them to write a smart contract, deploy it in Remix IDE, connect a MetaMask wallet, and test the application on a blockchain testnet.

The launch underscores Bitget’s broader strategy to empower the next generation not only to understand blockchain but to participate in shaping its future. By lowering the barriers to entry for aspiring builders, the initiative is designed to help young people move from curiosity to experimentation and from learning to creation. The project also reinforces Bitget’s belief that access to knowledge should lead to the confidence to build, particularly as blockchain adoption continues to expand worldwide.

Initial distribution of “Programming4Youth: Code Like a Cook” will begin in the Philippines, with plans for a wider global rollout to follow.

Tech Experts Call for Urgent Developer Education and Regulatory Clarity as Stablecoin Adoption Accelerates Globally

Manila, Philippines — The Philippines is positioned to lead the global shift toward stablecoin-based remittances, provided it prioritizes developer education and formalizes regulatory pathways, according to fintech and blockchain leaders at the recent “Settle In! Manila” panel organized by Morph and Bitget’s Blockchain4Her and Blockchain For Youth initiatives on the global rise of stablecoins and the future of digital payments.

Over one million OFWs send remittances home annually through channels that charge fees as high as six percent and take days to clear. Stablecoin transfers can settle near-instantly at a fraction of the cost, a difference that directly affects household income for millions of Filipino families. OFW remittances rose 3.5% in January 2026 despite seasonal slowdowns, underscoring continued and growing dependence on these flows.

“The Philippines is one of the many countries and regions that stand to benefit the most from stablecoin technology, whether it be through lower costs or settlement fees. The country is ground zero for the shift from a playground for speculation to a mission-critical rail for real-world utility,” said David Hsiao, Chief Marketing Officer of Morph, a blockchain settlement platform, which recently launched a Universal Settlement Layer backed by a $150 million Payment Accelerator to serve the trillion-dollar stablecoin economy.

Global market trends reinforce the call. Bitget Country Manager for Southeast Asia Jose Mendoza noted that stablecoin use for payroll and B2B invoices grew by more than 60% over the past year. Bitget Wallet card spending surged 28-fold, and Visa-issued crypto card spending jumped 525%, signaling a clear shift from speculation to real-world payments.

“Our goal is to make stablecoin payments feel local and familiar,” Mendoza said. “Users shouldn’t need to understand the underlying complexity. By supporting builders who focus on ‘invisible tech,’ we ensure the end-user simply experiences 10x faster payments and significantly lower fees.”

Eli Rabadon, Chief Executive Officer of DVCode, focused on the developer gap. “The technology is ready. What we need now is education and clarity so builders can integrate stablecoins into apps that everyday Filipinos will actually use. There’s huge potential to create real-world utility that touches lives immediately.”

He noted that Filipino developers, alongside the country’s large base of freelancers and remote workers already paid in digital currencies, are a natural engine for stablecoin adoption, but need structured support to build compliant products at scale.

On the regulatory front, Raymond Babst, Chief Executive Officer of DA5, argued the country’s existing virtual asset framework is a competitive advantage that must be activated. “The Philippines already has a regulatory framework for virtual assets that can position us ahead of other Asian markets.”

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas has reviewed stablecoin proposals and conducted pilot tests, but panelists called for accelerated timelines as global adoption outpaces local policy.

Bitget Champions Women Shaping Education-First Web3 Growth in the Philippines

Manila, PhilippinesBitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), highlighted the growing impact of women-led Web3 education and advocacy in the Philippines through its flagship women-in-blockchain initiative, Blockchain4Her. The initiative supports women who are advancing blockchain literacy, community access, and responsible participation across emerging digital economies.

Blockchain4Her is designed to elevate and empower women in blockchain through education-first programs, grassroots partnerships, and community-led advocacy. By focusing on access, knowledge, and long-term inclusion, the initiative aims to close the gender gap in Web3 and create pathways for women to participate as builders, educators, and decision-makers.

In the Philippines, a market shaped by strong grassroots adoption and a rapidly expanding digital economy, Blockchain4Her has supported women working at the intersection of education, community-building, and responsible innovation. Advocates, including Bea Llana, Arshelene “Tita Arsh” Lingao, and MaryWave (Wave3), have emerged as leading voices helping women and young people approach Web3 with clarity, structure, and purpose.

“We started Blockchain4Her to create a safe space and build confidence for women to imagine a future in Web3,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget and initiator of Blockchain4Her. “Seeing women in the Philippines take ownership of education and community-building shows what inclusion looks like when it begins at the grassroots level.”

Across their work, the advocates share a common focus on education over speculation and long-term understanding over short-term participation. Llana, a Southeast Asia–based ecosystem builder and co-founder of Buhayin, has worked to translate blockchain and emerging technologies into practical opportunities for local communities, particularly through education and connectivity initiatives in underserved island regions.
“There wasn’t one defining moment,” Llana said. “But working closely with communities showed how thoughtfully applied blockchain technology can support access and participation. That’s when curiosity became intention.”

Education has also been central to the work of Arshelene “Tita Arsh” Lingao, founder of Cryptita Plays, who has focused on improving Web3 literacy among Filipino youth and underserved communities. Alongside Bitget's other CSR initiative, Blockchain4Youth, she developed the Young Learners’ Encyclopedia, an accessible resource designed to introduce blockchain concepts in a clear and age-appropriate way.

“Too many young people enter crypto without honest guidance,” Lingao said. “Education helps them see Web3 as a space for learning and creativity, not hype.”

MaryWave, also known as Wave3, has addressed similar gaps in the trading space by building education-driven communities centered on market structure, discipline, and risk awareness. As co-founder of Wave3, she has focused on creating environments where women and beginners can learn without pressure or misinformation.

“What was missing was structure and honest education,” MaryWave said. “When people understand the market, confidence replaces fear.”

Through Blockchain4Her, Bitget continues to support women-led initiatives that emphasize responsible learning, long-term empowerment, and inclusive participation in Web3. In markets like the Philippines, where community-driven education plays a critical role, the initiative aims to ensure that women are equipped with knowledge beyond hype, as they explore opportunities in web3. This approach aligns with Bitget’s global education initiatives with UNICEF, which aim to expand access to digital skills and blockchain education for young people and underserved communities worldwide.

It starts with why cryptocurrency was developed–tracing its roots to real-world economic challenges, particularly inflation and its impact on people’s savings and purchasing power. From there, it walks readers through Bitcoin's rise and volatility.

“Understanding why crypto matters is the first step to learning how to use it wisely,”
Buenaventura noted. “By helping them understand the balance of ‘high risk, high reward,’ we aim to set realistic expectations before they dive into actual investing.”
Once readers have a grasp of cryptocurrency, the book guides them towards taking their first careful step into investing. It emphasizes the importance of building traditional savings, maintaining diversified investments, and treating crypto as a complement—not a replacement—to other financial foundations.

The succeeding chapters explore the tools and mindsets needed to invest responsibly. It explains wallet apps, satoshis, and trading basics, and introduces other cryptocurrencies beyond Bitcoin, such as Ethereum, Solana, stablecoins, and high-volatility memecoins.

It also dives into the mindset behind investing, tackling topics like moments of doubt, the importance of discipline, and the value of long-term thinking. Ultimately, it brings the conversation back to purpose—that crypto should serve real-life goals, helping Filipinos fund dreams, support their families, and celebrate financial progress responsibly.

“Our goal is to educate Filipinos on the responsible use of cryptocurrency, enabling them to take confident, informed steps into the future of finance,” Buenaventura added.

Bitget Wallet Doubles Tokenized Stock Offerings, Expanding Us Market Access for Filipino Investors

Manila, PhilippinesBitget Wallet, a leading non-custodial crypto wallet with over 80 million users, has officially doubled its tokenized stock offerings, allowing Filipinos and users anywhere in the world access to more than 200 US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

The expanded offerings are made possible through Ondo Finance’s Global Markets infrastructure. This blockchain-based platform brings traditionally traded US stocks and ETFs on-chain, allowing users outside the United States to gain exposure to these assets.

Through this integration, Filipino users can manage a hybrid portfolio of cryptocurrencies and US equities directly within the Bitget Wallet application. This eliminates the need for traditional brokerage accounts or navigating complex international banking intermediaries, effectively democratizing access to global wealth-building tools.

"As markets change, access should change with them. By expanding the range of stocks available in our app, we’re giving users more ways to participate in global markets, without the usual barriers of location, banking access, or trading hours", said Jamie Elkaleh, Chief Marketing Officer of Bitget Wallet.

Previously, Bitget Wallet focused on offering popular technology stocks from Apple, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, and Nvidia. With this update, users worldwide can now access nearly 100 additional US companies, including AT&T, Citigroup, and T-Mobile. These new options cover industries such as telecommunications, banking, and energy.

This global expansion marks a significant milestone in Bitget Wallet’s mission to merge decentralized finance (DeFi) with traditional markets. By broadening its asset catalog, the platform provides a seamless bridge for investors to diversify their digital portfolios with real-world equities.

As the Philippine tokenized market continues its upward trajectory toward 2030, Bitget Wallet’s latest update provides Filipino investors with more robust alternative options to grow their wealth in an increasingly digital-first economy.

CCP Games and Sui Announce $80,000 “A Toolkit for Civilization” EVE Frontier × Sui Hackathon 2026

REYKJAVÍK, Iceland – CCP Games today announced the EVE Frontier × Sui Hackathon 2026, an online hackathon running 11-31 March 2026, with a $80,000 USD prize pool. The hackathon invites builders to create mods running on Smart Assemblies – configurable in-game structures such as turrets, stargates, and storage units – or outside the game through external applications connected to the same live universe.

EVE Frontier demonstrates the unique power of Sui - supporting galactic-scale battles, true ownership, and persistent worlds through large-scale moddable infrastructure. Designed as a moddable survival universe, players can meaningfully shape their experience as they rebuild civilization from its ashes. Players can change how the world behaves through mods that stay active over time, can be expanded by others, and continue to affect the shared universe across the entire galaxy.

Announcement Trailer: https://youtu.be/4nlMjQif2hE

Mods can live inside the EVE Frontier game world by running within Smart Assemblies: player-built, in-game structures such as storage units, gates, and defensive systems. These structures, powered by Sui’s blockchain-enforced modding and co-creation, act as the physical hosts for player creativity, allowing for new logic and behavior to be installed within them, while being able to be interacted with, defended, or destroyed by other players. Mods can also live outside the game, as external applications that connect to EVE Frontier through an official API. These external tools, such as maps, dashboards, coordination platforms, and analytics services, do not exist as objects in space, but can also read and react to live game data in real time.

With the theme ‘A Toolkit for Civilization,’ the 2026 Hackathon asks players to create mods from the supportive to the bizarre. Entries can be deployed into the live server, where players can use them as part of the judging process, and with the community vote playing a key role in deciding the winners.

“EVE Frontier is built on the idea that a virtual world shouldn’t be static,” said Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, CEO of CCP Games. “This is the next step in game modding: where builders aren’t just modding a client or a tool, but modding the server itself in real time, through systems that are designed to be extended. The Hackathon is an invitation to explore what happens when modding becomes part of a live universe.”

“EVE Frontier is designed to be built by players, not just played by them,” said Adeniyi Abiodun, Chief Product Officer at Mysten Labs, the original contributors to Sui. “Our goal is to provide the infrastructure to build 'forever games,' moddable worlds that can keep evolving. While EVE and Sui provide the foundation, it's the builders who drive innovation. I speak for both CCP and Mysten Labs when I say we can't wait to see what participants in this hackathon will create.”

The hackathon is open globally to individuals and teams of up to five participants. Full details on registration, timelines, submission requirements, and modding resources are available at: http://deepsurge.xyz/evefrontier2026

Boy Abunda Hosts PDAX Conversation Series on Money, Investing, and Financial Goals for 2026

Manila, Philippines — As Filipinos set sharper financial goals for the year ahead, the Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX) introduced “Tara, Bonding Tayo!”, a conversation video series hosted by the “Philippines’ King of Talk” Boy Abunda that makes money discussions timely and grounded in real-world experiences.

The series brings honest, relatable discussions about money, wealth, and everyday financial realities into the open, which is timely for this new season of reassessing financial goals. It centers on how Filipinos from different walks of life think about money, responsibility, and long-term security.

Instead of focusing on numbers, jargon, or financial products, the series centers on real-life stories where money decisions affect relationships, self-worth, and family dynamics. These are conversations many Filipinos recognize but rarely have out loud.

“Wealth can mean many things. For some, it’s peace of mind. For others, it’s time, freedom, or legacy. But one thing is for sure—everyone deserves a shot at creating their own definition of wealth. You could do it alone, but you don’t have to. This is where real journeys meet real lessons,” Abunda shared in his opening for the series.

The episodes focus on a mix of familiar faces and practical perspectives. Sam YG, celebrity radio and TV host, shares how investing in government bonds became his go-to approach for steadier, more secure money moves that helped him sleep better at night. Randell Tiongson, Director and registered advisor of the Registered Financial Planner Institute (RFPI), breaks down simple steps Filipinos can start today and explains why small, consistent actions often matter more than chasing big returns. While Dianne Medina, a celebrity mom, opens up about the financial challenges she has faced and the habits that helped her rebuild stability for her family.

The conversations featured in the series are anchored on PDAX’s broader effort to make investing and wealth-building more accessible to Filipinos.

PDAX is a Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas–licensed virtual asset service provider that pioneered the tokenization of Philippine government bonds through Project Bayani, a landmark white paper estimating that the Philippines' tokenized-asset market could reach US$60 billion by 2030 across government bonds, mutual funds, equities, and other investment assets.

This initiative also digitized the Bureau of the Treasury’s Retail Treasury Bonds, making government-backed investments more accessible through digital platforms. These bonds are distributed by PDAX in partnership with its licensed bonds broker-dealer, PDAX Securities Inc. (formerly bonds.ph Inc.).

Today, PDAX provides access to a range of products, including government bonds requiring low investment amounts, allowing Filipinos to have more access to more stable, long-term investment options.

The digital asset exchange also offers products such as PDAX Gold, where users can trade gold digitally for as low as P500 through the PDAX app. It is also priced in grams, a unit used by Filipinos in jewelry or gold trading.

“Tara, Bonding Tayo!” reflects PDAX’s belief that financial understanding begins with conversation. It speaks to a generation balancing care, ambition, and responsibility, and reminds viewers that talking about money can also be an act of connection.

Episodes of “Tara, Bonding Tayo!” can be watched on PDAX’s official YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/@PDAXPH).

Bitget Connects 7,300 Filipino Students Through Blockchain4Youth Starlink Program

Manila, PhilippinesBitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has expanded its Blockchain4Youth initiative by bringing high-speed satellite internet to six schools across Surigao del Norte, Siquijor, and Negros Oriental through a major Starlink deployment.

Through this initiative, Bitget has delivered reliable connectivity to more than 7,300 students and over 100 teachers, marking one of the most significant digital inclusion efforts in remote island communities in the Philippines.

The program now supports Espoir School of Life and Lasala Integrated School in Surigao del Norte, Apo Elementary School and the Arts & Design Collective Dumaguete in Negros Oriental, and Siquijor State College and Siquijor Provincial Science High School in Siquijor.

For many of these schools, this marks their first time experiencing dependable high-speed internet access. This transforms how classes are conducted and how teachers prepare lessons, as they previously relied entirely on printed worksheets due to unreliable or nonexistent internet connectivity.

“This project is not just about connectivity — it’s about opportunity,” Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said. “By bringing Starlink to these islands, we are giving thousands of young people their first real access to the digital world and the tools they need to participate in tomorrow’s economy.”

Alongside each installation, Bitget’s team conducted educator consultations, digital readiness assessments, and early testing of Blockchain4Youth learning modules. These activities lay the groundwork for future Web3 and digital literacy programs, ensuring that schools can fully utilize their newfound connectivity beyond simply accessing the internet. Teachers now have access to online training and updated curricula, while students can engage with interactive learning resources that were previously inaccessible.

This Starlink rollout is part of Bitget’s broader vision under its PayFi Islands initiative, which aims to extend digital infrastructure and education into underserved regions across the Philippines. Bitget plans to continue deploying connectivity solutions and launching digital skills programs to ensure that no student or community is excluded from the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

By combining high-speed internet access with long-term educational support, Bitget is helping remote communities bridge the digital divide, improve learning outcomes, and build pathways toward full participation in the global digital economy.

Bitskwela Launched BitDev, the Philippines’ First Blockchain-Enabled Microlearning Platform, to Address Developer Gap

Manila, Philippines — For the first time in the country, a Filipino-led EduTech firm, Bitskwela, launched a blockchain-enabled developer microlearning (DML) platform called “BitDev,” which streamlines the complex process of creating, testing, and deploying Web3 applications for aspiring or learning software developers.

The release of BitDev addresses the gap identified by the 2023 report on Worldwide Blockchain and Web3 Developer Statistics, which shows that only 203 of 190,000 software developers in the Philippines focus on blockchain development. With its mission to provide insightful education on Web3, BitDev aims to resolve this shortage of blockchain developers in the country by transforming existing Filipino Web2 developers into ready Web3 builders.

“At Bitskwela, we believe in bridging the gap by tapping into the potential of our already talented Filipino Web2 developers. Our vision is to transform the Philippines into a hub of world-class blockchain builders, and the BitDev platform is a step closer towards that,” Jiro Reyes, Bitskwela’s Chief Executive Officer, said.

Using a blockchain-enabled, specialized software called an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) already implemented by global developers, BitDev intends to address real-life challenges that prevent Filipino web developers from engaging with Web3 technology. This includes bridging the high learning curve of core concepts, aiding developers to understand language constructs during syntax building and compiling, and teaching users how to manage “gas fees” when using blockchain.

“BitDev is designed by developers for developers. Our goal is to make the platform as easy as possible to navigate the world of Web3. This achievement marks Bitskwela’s role in making the Philippines keep up with the rising blockchain technology throughout the globe,” Camille Puentespina, Bitskwela’s Chief Product and Technology Officer, explained.

Through BitDev, new developers can learn how to create their own real-life Web3 projects, such as web or mobile applications, smart contracts, blockchains, cryptocurrency wallets, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), and decentralized apps (DApps). This is made possible through a Live Editor tool, which enables developers a hands-on coding experience, as well as the usage of various programming and scripting languages, including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Python, Solidity, and Move.

These languages are also used in the available Web2 development courses offered in BitDev, further bridging the gap between Web2 developers and Web3 developers.

Moreover, Bitskwela has partnered with leading local universities such as Dr. Yanga's Colleges Inc. (DYCI) and the Philippine Women’s University (PWU) to bring BitDev closer to Information Technology (IT) students.

“The partnership of Dr. Yanga’s Colleges, Inc. with the visionary Bitskwela is a breakthrough in advancing blockchain technology. It excellently and effectively addresses critical social concerns of transparency, accountability, and integrity through an advanced and modern approach. Teaching this to the youth will make them the vanguards of truth and integrity at present and in the future,” Michael Yanga, president of DYCI, said.

Bitskwela aims to integrate its platform into these universities' curricula, equipping students with self-paced technical modules, blockchain-issued certifications, and the opportunity to develop their own Web3 applications. Each course on the BitDev platform starts at a student-friendly price, perfect for learning developers. This can be accessed through https://developer.bitskwela.com/.

“By enhancing digital literacy among future web developers, BitDev increases the employability of Filipino IT students—all while encouraging their participation in the expansion of blockchain development in the Philippines,” said Vince Edralin, Bitskwela’s Chief Operating Officer.

Bitget, the Ascent Project Distribute P100K Relief Aid to Cebu Earthquake Victims

Manila, Philippines — Leading universal exchange (UEX) platform Bitget extended its support to communities affected by the recent 6.9 magnitude earthquake in northern Cebu by sending P100,000 relief goods to victims.

In partnership with The Ascent Project, the donation drive included food packs and hygiene kits distributed to 118 residents in Bogo City and San Remigio who were heavily impacted by the disaster.

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen stressed the importance of teamwork in the community through the Filipino value of kabayanihan during disasters such as this.

“My heart goes out to people who have been struggling during this difficult time. Our community in Cebu has helped us stand with those in need during such distress. We hope to support and continue building trust,” Chen said.

The relief operation took place last November 2 and was mobilized through Bitget’s local trading community, one of the company’s longest-running grassroots groups in Southeast Asia.

“Bitget remains committed to extending its presence beyond trading platforms and contributing to meaningful, on-ground support where its communities need it most,”
Chen emphasized.

This initiative also forms part of Bitget’s broader global impact strategy, which includes long-term partnerships, such as its collaboration with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), to expand digital and blockchain education to over 1 million young people by 2027.

As recovery in northern Cebu continues, Bitget and its Philippine community partners are evaluating additional ways to provide assistance and support for rebuilding initiatives.

“We have always been more than just a crypto exchange platform, and this act reflects our approach to work directly with user communities to identify urgent needs and provide timely support,” she added.

Bitget Supports Grassroots Football at La Liga Youth Tournament in Manila

Manila, Philippines Bitget, the world's largest Universal Exchange (UEX), took part in La Liga’s Youth Tournament in Manila, supporting one of Asia’s most exciting grassroots football events focused on promoting sport, community, and camaraderie. Held from November 14 to 16 at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium, the tournament brought together more than 7,000 young players, families, and coaches for three days of competition, community spirit, and youth development.

Bitget’s presence centered on creating a welcoming space for parents and children through its Blockchain4Youth initiative. The booth featured a simple penalty shoot-out activity where kids could unwind between matches, with successful attempts rewarded with complimentary refreshments and La Liga x Bitget branded items. For many families, it became an easy meeting point, offering shade, water, and moments of fun amid a packed tournament schedule.

The event was designed purely around community value. Bitget chose to support an event that was centered around discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship, qualities that are closely related to the company's long-standing youth empowerment initiatives, rather than showcasing products or platforms. Across the weekend, the booth drew long lines of young participants, reinforcing the tournament's festive atmosphere while creating positive touchpoints with parents and local football communities.

“I’ve always believed that the love for football starts early, often on the streets or fields just like this,” said Ignacio Aguirre, Chief Marketing Officer at Bitget. “Being part of La Liga’s Youth Tournament means a lot to us because it’s about supporting passion at the age where it matters most. These kids play with joy, ambition, and imagination, the same qualities that shape great futures, whether in sports or beyond.”

After matchday festivities, viewing parties, and school outreach initiatives throughout the year, the activation was the most recent phase of Bitget's broader partnership with La Liga across Asia. Given that the Philippines is one of the most active sports communities in Southeast Asia, Bitget had a chance to quietly and positively contribute to the competition, fostering cultural ties without using commercial messaging.

Partnerships like this demonstrate Bitget’s conviction that technology and culture flourish when rooted in authentic communities, as it continues to develop into a comprehensive Universal Exchange (UEX). One of the most crucial strategies for fostering trust and developing young people in the area is still to support youth sports.
