Schneider Electric Supports Ayala Land's Digitalization Journey with Resource Advisor

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Schneider Electric, a global technology leader, has partnered with Ayala Land, Inc., one of Southeast Asia’s leading sustainable real estate developers, to strengthen its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting capabilities using Schneider Electric’s Resource Advisor, an energy and sustainability intelligence platform that will support Ayala Land’s efforts to strengthen ESG data management, enhance reporting readiness, and build a scalable foundation for sustainability decision-making.

As part of its broader sustainability journey, Ayala Land aims to simplify ESG data collection and strengthen sustainability reporting across its diverse portfolio. As Ayala Land manages information across hundreds of sites and business units, the collaboration with Schneider Electric is intended to help streamline data collection processes, improve consistency, and enhance reporting readiness. The platform will support Ayala Land in monitoring progress and informing action toward its sustainability priorities, including emissions reduction, zero landfilled waste, and the continued roll-out of green-certified property developments.

“Sustainability is embedded in our business operations and how we create long-term value for our stakeholders and the communities we serve," said Robert Lao, Ayala Land's Chief Sustainability Officer. "As we continue strengthening our sustainability management approach, digital tools play an important role in making our ESG data more structured, comparable, and decision-useful over time.”

The Resource Advisor platform addresses challenges in sustainability reporting of its users through:
  • Compliance & Reporting Excellence — Enables more consistent ESG data management aligned with global standards, with auditable data trails and reporting workflows.
  • Energy & Operational Efficiency — Provides increased visibility into resource consumption and sustainability performance, to support operational decision-making.
  • Digital Sustainability Enablement — Offers dashboards and scalable data infrastructure to support enterprise-level sustainability management over time.
“We have embedded decarbonization in our own business and value chain for decades,” said Ireen Catane, Country President of Schneider Electric Philippines. “Our goal is to support companies across the country in strengthening their digital and operational foundations, so they can meet evolving regulatory requirements and achieve their sustainability targets.”

Recognized twice as the World’s Most Sustainable Company by TIME Magazine and Statista in 2024 and 2025, and Best Sustainability Consulting Firm in 2026 by Sustainability Magazine, Schneider Electric has demonstrated enterprise-scale sustainability leadership for decades: expanding green electricity access to over 60 million people since 2009, helping customers avoid 729 million tonnes of CO₂ since 2018, cutting emissions across its top 1,000 suppliers by 53% since 2020, and training over 1 million people in energy management.

Through this strategic partnership, Ayala Land aims to enhance its data capabilities and support its sustainability objectives, contributing to continued progress in sustainable real estate development across the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

Globe and Ayala Foundation Launch CENTEX Digital Education Wallet on GlobeOne to Bridge Learning Gaps in Public Schools

Globe, alongside the Department of Education and local government units, is supporting the continued expansion of Ayala Foundation’s CENTEX Digital Education program, reinforcing a shared commitment to improving access to quality digital learning for Filipino learners. The program introduces a “High Touch, High Tech” approach to education, combining digital modules, in-person coaching, and Professional Learning Communities – enabling teachers to use digital tools and real-time data to deliver targeted instructional support based on students’ actual learning needs.

CENTEX Digital Education is built on the belief that technology alone is not enough, and that meaningful improvement requires a strong support system anchored in real-time data —so instruction can be adjusted, timely, and responsive to each learner and sustained by community engagement. In its pilot phase in San Marcelino, Zambales, the program showed a 13.8 percentage point improvement in math learning outcomes among students in treatment schools compared to control schools within just 12 weeks.

“Learning improves when technology is paired with care, guidance, and accountability,” said Yoly Crisanto, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer at Globe. “CENTEX Digital Education reflects our commitment to help teachers lead confident digital classrooms and ensure students learn at the right level, not just move through the system.”

The program empowers educators to become confident, data-driven mentors who can address individual learning needs, helping build a thriving, learning community for both teachers and students. It also exposes students early to digital tools that build future-readiness and confidence in learning.

“CENTEX is about helping students learn better by supporting the teachers who guide them,” said Tony Lambino, President of Ayala Foundation. “By strengthening teacher capacity and using data to inform instruction, we help teachers differentiate learning and provide support that responds to each student’s needs.”

Globe customers can support the initiative through Globe Rewards or GoGIVE. Donations fund the setup of Digital Learning Labs, support connectivity, and help integrate platforms such as Khan Academy for personalized learning.

To support Ayala Foundation through GoGIVE:

1. Tap GoGIVE on the GlobeOne app

2. Select Building Learning Communities through CENTEX Digital Education as your advocacy to start earning hearts

3. Support your advocacy automatically every time you use mobile data.

More than 8,000 students and over 300 public school teachers are expected to directly benefit from the program. The model also builds local teacher-leaders and secures support from LGUs and DepEd, making the initiative scalable and sustainable across the public school system. Through this partnership, Globe continues to champion digital inclusion in education, making sure no child is left behind in today’s evolving learning landscape.

Albay Multimedia Arts Convention Celebrates its 6th Edition: A Powerhouse Event for Creativity in South Luzon

LEGASPI, Albay – The Albay Multimedia Arts Convention, a pioneering event that has been nurturing the grassroots creative community of the Bicol Region since its inception in 2016, is proud to announce its 6th edition. Set to be the most monumental iteration yet, this year's convention will be held on September 2-3 at Ayala Malls Legazpi, a venue celebrated for its unwavering support of the creative community.

What began as a modest gathering with a few dozen attendees in 2016 has seen exponential growth year after year. From hundreds to thousands and now tens of thousands of attendees, the Albay Multimedia Arts Convention has established itself as the largest event celebrating creativity in South Luzon.

This year's theme, "Palette of Inclusion: Celebrating Diversity in the Creative Industry", not only underscores the rich tapestry of artistic talent within the region but also emphasizes the integral role that diversity plays in the broader creative landscape. As the convention continues to grow, so does its commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all artists and creators.

One of the convention's primary missions is the continuous organization of community events aimed at honing the skills of aspiring artists. These events serve as a foundation, ensuring that emerging talent is well-equipped to be competitive in the ever-evolving creative industry, whether their passion lies in art, design, or any other creative discipline.

The significant contributions of the Bicol Region's creative community, particularly through events like the Albay Multimedia Arts Convention, have been pivotal in the recent adoption of the Philippine Creative Industry Development Act (RA 11904). This newly enacted law recognizes and promotes the immense potential of the creative sector within the Philippines, with the Bicol Region standing as a testament to the nation's artistic prowess.

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of the event's sponsors and partner communities, all of whom have played an instrumental role in the convention's growth and success over the years.

As the Albay Multimedia Arts Convention looks forward to its 6th edition, it remains steadfast in its dedication to cultivating the next generation of creative professionals in the Philippines and beyond.
