Lenovo Successfully Delivers Technology at Biggest Ever FIFA World Cup 2026™

New York City, USA – Sunday’s historic FIFA World Cup 2026™ Final marked the conclusion of the biggest sporting event in history as Lenovo, FIFA’s Official Technology Partner, celebrated the successful delivery of its AI-powered technology solutions and an unprecedented technology deployment across the vast tournament.

Spanning three host countries, 16 cities, 48 teams and 104 matches, FIFA World Cup 2026 represented an unprecedented operational and technological challenge. Throughout the tournament, Lenovo provided the devices, infrastructure, services, solutions and AI-powered innovation that helped support FIFA operations, global broadcasts, team analysis, officiating technology and fan experiences at massive scale. These solutions were delivered impeccably, with 99.99% uptime across all solutions.

Across the FIFA World Cup ecosystem, Lenovo deployed and managed more than 25,000 Lenovo and Motorola devices, supported by more than 350 Lenovo engineers and operational specialists, working across over 600 FIFA sites, including stadiums, broadcast centers, team base camps, venues, command centers and FIFA operational sites. Together, this integrated technology ecosystem helped support the day-to-day running of a tournament watched by billions of fans around the world.

“FIFA World Cup 2026 has shown the world what smarter technology can make possible when it is deployed at scale, under pressure, and in service of a truly global event,” said Yuanqing Yang, Chairman and CEO, Lenovo. “When Lenovo became FIFA’s Official Technology Partner, we did so because we knew we were uniquely placed to power the largest sporting event in human history. Over the past several weeks, our teams have delivered on that promise, supporting FIFA with AI, infrastructure, devices, solutions and services that helped enhance the tournament for teams, officials, broadcasters, organizers and fans. This is Smarter Technology for All in action.”

FIFA AI Pro: democratizing football intelligence for all 48 teams

One of Lenovo’s most significant technology achievements at FIFA World Cup 2026™ was FIFA AI Pro, the AI-driven analytics platform developed by Lenovo and FIFA to give every participating team access to FIFA’s tournament data and analysis. All 48 teams competing at the tournament used FIFA AI Pro, which draws on millions of data points, analyzes more than 2,000 performance metrics, and delivers rapid insights through reports, graphs, video clips, and immersive 3D match recreations.

Built with Lenovo’s AI Factory and Lenovo’s enterprise AI capabilities, FIFA AI Pro enabled coaches, analysts and technical teams to query official football data and match footage in natural language, helping democratize access to advanced football intelligence that has historically been available only to the best-resourced federations. During the tournament, the platform was used in 16 languages, with thousands of queries by over 300 individual users.

“FIFA AI Pro represents exactly the kind of AI Lenovo believes in: AI that solves real problems, expands access to expertise, and helps people make better decisions faster,” said Art Hu, Chief Information Officer, Lenovo, and Chief Technology & Delivery Officer, Solutions and Services Group. “At this tournament, every team, from established football powers to nations making history on the world stage, had access to advanced match intelligence through a platform designed around the language and logic of football. That is a powerful example of how AI can democratize expertise, not simply automate work.”

Referee View, powered by Lenovo AI, brought fans closer to the pitch.

Lenovo also helped deliver one of the standout broadcast innovations of the tournament: Referee View, powered by Lenovo AI. The technology gave fans a first-person view of match action from the perspective of the referee, using AI-powered stabilization to transform fast-moving body-camera footage into smooth, broadcast-quality video in real time.

Lenovo’s AI video analytics platform helped reduce camera jitter by up to 60%, delivering a stable, high-quality live feed while preserving the speed and intensity of the match. According to Lenovo-commissioned international research, 87% of fans said technology improved their FIFA World Cup 2026 viewing experience, while 84% said close-to-action camera perspectives helped them feel like they were right there on the pitch.

Thousands of minutes of additional broadcast-quality footage were provided to broadcasters for their use, and Referee View featured throughout the tournament, including the opening goal of FIFA World Cup 2026, where it generated over 20 billion impressions and gave viewers around the world a new perspective on the game – demonstrating how AI can enhance storytelling, transparency and fan engagement in live sport.

AI-powered 3D player avatars improved offside visualization.

Ahead of the tournament, Lenovo created precise 3D digital avatars for all 1,248 players competing at FIFA World Cup 2026. Built from individual scans and advanced AI processing, the avatars were used to support Semi-Automated Offside Technology replays, providing match officials with a fuller picture and helping make offside decisions easier for fans around the world to understand.

Lenovo’s role included scanning, quality verification, generation and lifecycle management of the 3D player models, creating individualized avatars that reflected each player’s precise dimensions. These avatars added a new layer of realism and transparency to broadcast replays and marked an important step forward in how AI can support officiating technology and fan comprehension.

The Intelligent Command Center supported tournament operations at unprecedented scale.

Behind the scenes, Lenovo’s Intelligent Command Center provided FIFA with a centralized, real-time operational picture of the tournament. Operating as part of FIFA’s Tournament Operations Center, the platform aggregated data from more than 40 FIFA functional areas, helping officials coordinate across venues, security, ticketing, infrastructure, logistics, communications and other critical operational areas.

By bringing fragmented operational data into a single shared environment, the Intelligent Command Center helped stakeholders identify risks, respond to issues earlier, and coordinate across a tournament footprint spanning three countries and hundreds of FIFA locations. It demonstrated Lenovo’s ability to deliver mission-critical AI-powered operations in a live environment where reliability, speed and trust are essential.

End-to-end technology for the world’s biggest sporting event

Lenovo’s contribution to FIFA World Cup 2026™ went beyond any single innovation. The company delivered an integrated technology ecosystem spanning devices, data center infrastructure, edge computing, AI-powered solutions, managed services and operational support. Lenovo technology supported broadcast operations, IPTV delivery, tournament operations, fan experiences, officiating innovation, team analysis and digital workplace capabilities across the event ecosystem.

At the International Broadcast Center in Dallas, Lenovo infrastructure helped provide the computing power needed to support live video data, IPTV distribution and AI-driven solutions for one of the most expansive broadcast operations in FIFA World Cup history. Lenovo’s technology also supported near real-time IPTV delivery – with an average of six seconds latency – to more than 1,000 screens across FIFA venues, helping fans, media, VIPs and officials access live match action across the tournament footprint.

“We have long recognized that this is the biggest opportunity in the world for our brand, but we also know that the value of this sort of partnership goes far beyond that, said Jeff Shafer, Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing and Chief Communications Officer, Lenovo. This relationship is based on a deep and authentic technology integration. That had to be front and center, and that’s what makes it so powerful for our company and for our brand. Ultimately, we need to prove to the world that if we can do it for the biggest sporting event in the history of humanity, we can do it for anyone.”

Football as a catalyst for inclusion

Sport has always functioned as a global democratizer, and Lenovo is working to amplify that by providing access to technology for athletes and entrepreneurs. Through community investments, Lenovo Foundation is ensuring that tech solutions extend beyond the event, and that technology and opportunity reach those who need it most.

A platform for Smarter AI for All

FIFA World Cup 2026™ demonstrated Lenovo’s vision of Smarter AI for All in one of the most demanding real-world environments imaginable. From FIFA AI Pro giving all 48 teams access to advanced football intelligence, to Referee View bringing billions of fans closer to the pitch, to the Intelligent Command Center supporting operational decision-making, Lenovo’s AI solutions helped improve outcomes across the tournament for teams, officials, fans, broadcasters and organizers.

The tournament also validated Lenovo’s hybrid AI strategy and full-stack portfolio, showing how AI becomes most valuable when combined with infrastructure, devices, services and deep operational expertise to solve real-world challenges at scale. The FIFA World Cup is the perfect demonstration of Lenovo’s sports technology strategy, as Lenovo teams up with clubs, leagues, venues, and governing bodies to power world-class experiences and seamless operations.

As attention now turns to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ in Brazil, Lenovo will continue working with FIFA to use technology and innovation to make football more accessible, more engaging, and more intelligent for players, coaches, organizers, and fans around the world.

Lenovo and FIFA AI Pro Transform Match Preparation at FIFA World Cup 2026™

Artificial intelligence played a defining role at the FIFA World Cup 2026™, as Lenovo and FIFA announced that all 48 participating national teams utilized FIFA AI Pro, an advanced football analytics platform designed to revolutionize match preparation and tactical decision-making.

The adoption of FIFA AI Pro across every competing nation highlights the growing influence of AI in modern sports. By providing teams with rapid access to in-depth performance analysis, the platform has helped level the playing field while enhancing the quality of football on the global stage.

FIFA AI Pro processes millions of data points and evaluates more than 2,000 individual performance metrics from matches and training sessions. Within minutes, coaches and analysts receive comprehensive reports, interactive graphs, visual animations, and tactical recommendations that support everything from opponent scouting to player performance evaluation.

At the core of the platform is Lenovo's AI Factory infrastructure and xIQ agent platform, which powers FIFA AI Pro as a sophisticated Knowledge Super Agent. Instead of relying on a single AI model, the system coordinates multiple specialized AI agents that work together to analyze massive amounts of football data simultaneously. This collaborative AI architecture enables teams to receive highly detailed insights in a fraction of the time traditionally required by human analysts.

One of the most significant achievements of FIFA AI Pro is its commitment to making elite football analytics more accessible. Historically, only wealthier football federations could afford large analytics departments and advanced scouting technologies. With FIFA AI Pro, smaller and emerging national teams gained access to the same high-quality analytical tools, allowing them to prepare more effectively regardless of budget or resources.

This democratization of sports technology represents a major milestone for international football. Equal access to advanced analytics encourages greater competition and allows every nation to make data-driven decisions before and during matches.

According to Arsène Wenger, FIFA's Chief of Global Football Development, the successful deployment of FIFA AI Pro marks the beginning of a new era in football analysis. Rather than spending countless hours gathering and organizing performance data, technical staff can now focus on interpreting insights, refining tactics, and improving player performance.

As artificial intelligence continues to evolve, platforms like FIFA AI Pro demonstrate how technology can enhance—not replace—the expertise of coaches and analysts. By combining human decision-making with AI-powered intelligence, Lenovo and FIFA are helping shape the future of football, where faster analysis, smarter strategies, and greater accessibility benefit teams of every size on the world's biggest sporting stage.

Lenovo Accelerates Sustainability Journey with Renewable Energy, Circular Innovation, and Global Social Impact

Lenovo continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in sustainable technology, achieving significant milestones in environmental responsibility, circular design, and community development while remaining firmly committed to its long-term goal of reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. These targets have been validated by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), reinforcing the company's dedication to science-backed climate action.

One of Lenovo's most notable achievements is its rapid transition toward renewable energy. Today, more than 90% of the electricity used across Lenovo's global operations comes from renewable sources through onsite renewable energy generation, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and renewable energy certificates (RECs). This accomplishment demonstrates meaningful progress in reducing operational emissions while supporting the expansion of renewable energy markets worldwide.

Beyond environmental initiatives, Lenovo continues to make a lasting social impact through its philanthropy programs. Between 2021 and 2026, the company's community initiatives positively impacted more than 25 million people by expanding access to technology, digital resources, and education. These efforts reflect Lenovo's commitment to narrowing the digital divide and empowering communities through innovation.

Sustainability also extends to Lenovo's product development through its R.E.A.L. Framework, which emphasizes repairability, reuse, and recycling. The company has made impressive progress in incorporating sustainable materials into its products. Today, 100% of Lenovo's PC products include post-consumer recycled content materials, excluding tablets and accessories.

Lenovo's circular economy initiatives have also delivered remarkable long-term results. Since 2005, the company has enabled the recovery of more than 800 million pounds (approximately 363 million kilograms) of end-of-life products. During the same period, Lenovo has reused over 300 million pounds of post-consumer recycled plastics in its manufacturing processes, reducing waste while conserving valuable resources.

Packaging sustainability has also become a major priority. Lenovo has significantly improved the environmental footprint of its smartphone packaging by incorporating 60% recycled materials and reducing single-use plastics by 50% compared to its FY2020/21 baseline. These improvements include Motorola Razr packaging as of FY2023/24.

The company's continued focus on environmental stewardship, responsible product design, and social responsibility has translated into strong business performance. Lenovo was recently ranked No. 5 in the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 after the ranking was updated to include corrected ESG data. This recognition highlights Lenovo's ability to integrate sustainability into operational excellence while delivering value to customers, partners, and stakeholders worldwide.

As Lenovo continues advancing its sustainability strategy, it demonstrates that innovation and responsible business practices can go hand in hand, creating lasting benefits for both people and the planet.

Organizations leveraging Lenovo’s AI solutions have reportedly reached production up to 24 times faster than those relying on custom-built AI implementations. This accelerated deployment enables businesses to respond more quickly to market demands, reduce implementation risks, and achieve faster returns on their AI investments.

The Lenovo AI Library includes a growing collection of prebuilt AI agents designed for real-world enterprise applications. These production-ready solutions support critical functions across manufacturing, retail, and healthcare, offering capabilities such as predictive maintenance, automated quality inspection, enhanced customer engagement, and operational optimization. Instead of starting from scratch, organizations can deploy industry-specific AI solutions that are designed to solve common business challenges.

Companies are already benefiting from Lenovo’s practical AI strategy. Businesses are using their AI agents to improve supply chain visibility, generate customer insights more efficiently, and support faster, data-driven decision-making. These capabilities help organizations increase operational efficiency while maintaining the flexibility to scale AI initiatives as business needs evolve.

As enterprises continue to invest heavily in artificial intelligence, the focus is shifting from experimentation to delivering measurable business outcomes. Lenovo’s production-ready AI ecosystem provides organizations with a faster, more secure, and scalable path to AI adoption. By reducing deployment times and offering proven industry use cases, Lenovo is enabling businesses to transform AI from a promising technology into a practical competitive advantage.

Lenovo Unveils Intelligent Command Center to Power FIFA World Cup 2026 Operations

In support of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Lenovo has introduced a groundbreaking technology platform designed to help manage what is expected to be the largest and most complex FIFA World Cup™ in history. The company recently unveiled its Intelligent Command Center (ICC), a centralized, real-time operations platform designed to provide FIFA officials with complete visibility into tournament activities while improving coordination, decision-making, and operational efficiency.

The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will break new ground with 48 participating national teams, 104 matches, 16 host cities, and three host countries. Managing an event of this scale requires seamless communication, instant access to information, and the ability to respond quickly to changing situations. Lenovo's Intelligent Command Center aims to meet these demands by bringing together data from multiple operational systems into one unified platform.

Instead of relying on fragmented information sources, the ICC consolidates critical operational data into a single real-time dashboard. This allows FIFA executives and tournament operations teams to access a comprehensive view of ongoing activities, ensuring that everyone works from the same set of accurate and up-to-date information. By eliminating information silos, the platform enhances collaboration across departments and enables faster, more informed decisions.

Lenovo played a key role in designing and developing the ICC, integrating multiple data streams, customized dashboards, and advanced decision-support tools. These features provide tournament officials with reliable operational visibility, helping them monitor logistics, venue operations, transportation, security coordination, and other mission-critical functions throughout the tournament.

The platform is designed to deliver value beyond live event monitoring. Lenovo highlighted that the ICC also supports cross-functional collaboration, allowing different operational teams to coordinate more effectively before and during matches. Additionally, the system enables match-day scenario planning, helping organizers prepare for potential disruptions and respond efficiently when unexpected situations arise.

Another important capability of the Intelligent Command Center is its support for post-event analysis. By collecting and analyzing operational data throughout the tournament, FIFA can evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and apply valuable insights to future international sporting events. This continuous feedback loop strengthens operational excellence while helping organizers refine best practices.

With the launch of the Intelligent Command Center, Lenovo reinforces its commitment to delivering innovative technology solutions that enable large-scale global events to operate more efficiently. As the FIFA World Cup 2026™ approaches, the ICC is expected to play a vital role in ensuring smooth tournament execution while showcasing how advanced digital platforms can transform sports event management through real-time intelligence, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.

Lenovo Powers Asian Hospital’s Digital Transformation Toward Smart Healthcare Excellence

Lenovo has partnered with Asian Hospital and Medical Center to enhance clinical efficiency and accelerate the hospital’s digital transformation journey through the deployment of standardized endpoint devices. The collaboration reflects a strategic move to modernize healthcare delivery by strengthening the technological backbone that supports everyday clinical operations.

Asian Hospital selected Lenovo based on its reputation for reliability, enterprise-grade support, and consistent performance—critical factors in healthcare environments where downtime is not an option. In medical settings, even minor technical disruptions can affect workflows, delay access to patient information, and impact care delivery. By standardizing endpoint devices across departments, the hospital established a more stable and predictable IT environment.

A key component of the initiative was aligning device types with specific clinical workflows. Lenovo and Asian Hospital worked closely to ensure that each device configuration matched the functional requirements of its users, whether in administrative offices, nursing stations, or high-pressure clinical areas. This workflow-driven approach ensured that the technology deployed delivered measurable, practical value rather than simply replacing legacy hardware.

The results were immediate and significant. Prior to the transition, Lenovo-supported areas experienced more than 200 technical issues per month. After full deployment, reported device-related issues dropped to nearly zero. Clinicians reported smoother, faster, and more reliable access to hospital information systems and electronic medical records, enabling them to focus more on patient care and less on troubleshooting technology.

The impact extended beyond frontline healthcare professionals. With device-related disruptions minimized, the hospital’s IT team was able to redirect resources toward higher-value initiatives, including cybersecurity strengthening, network optimization, data analytics, and artificial intelligence integration. This shift from reactive troubleshooting to proactive innovation marked an important milestone in the hospital’s digital maturity.

Additional Lenovo devices were deployed in high-demand units such as the Emergency Room, where performance and reliability are mission-critical. The improved user experience also led clinicians to request upgrades for older units, reinforcing confidence in the new standardized infrastructure.

As Asian Hospital continues its transformation, it has set its sights on becoming a flagship smart hospital in the Philippines. With Lenovo’s continued support, the institution is well-positioned to pilot advanced healthcare technologies that will further enhance operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and patient outcomes.
